Contact Tyler Craig (Owner/ Designer/ Shaper)

Makau Makers is a Dana Point–based brand founded by Tyler and Lani Craig—built at the intersection of craftsmanship, coastal living, and everyday function.

What started in a home workshop shaping wood by hand has grown into something bigger: a collection of goods designed to be used, worn, and lived in. From custom furniture and handcrafted wooden pieces to thoughtfully designed apparel like the Cache Crew, everything we create carries the same purpose—to blend utility, quality, and story into one.

The name Makau comes from the Polynesian fish hook—symbolizing strength, prosperity, safe travels, and a deep connection to the ocean. That meaning is at the core of everything we do. It’s a reminder to stay grounded, keep moving forward, and trust the process.

We’re not just sourcing products—we’re building them. Every detail is considered, tested, and refined. Whether it’s dialing in the fit of a garment or shaping a piece of wood, the goal is always the same:
make something that lasts and feels right.

Rooted in Dana Point, California, Makau Makers is inspired by salt air, surf culture, and the people who value quality, creativity, and intention in what they wear and bring into their homes.

If you’re reaching out—whether it’s for a custom piece, wholesale opportunities, or just to connect—we’d love to hear from you.

Mahalo for being part of the journey.
